Good news! For the past few months, I have been working hard at writing the first ever full-length biography of Vilma, which, with any luck, will be published some time in mid 2010. I've had the great fortune to speak with many of Vilma's family members and friends and have acquired a great deal of information that will make for a fascinating tale. Until then, I would like to direct you to an article I wrote for The Rudolph Valentino Society; it is the most comprehensive article on Vilma to date. At over eight pages, this mini-biography of Vilma gives some insight into her life and work. If you are interested in re-posting some of the information in the article, please contact me as it is copyrighted.

Hala Pickford, the founder of the Society, also has links to Vilma's film
A Lady to Love, so you get to hear Vilma speak -- a rather rare treat for many people. The Society is currently planning a giant Rudy film festival to occur in Summer 2010 that will honor his body of work. Find out more about the festival and the Society!

For now, however, the website is on standby as I delve into Vilma's life. I have tons of material on just about everything, so if there's something (pictures, documents, etc.) you're interested in,
let me know! Additionally, if you have something to share about Vilma's life and work in the silent film industry, I would love to hear from you as well. Thanks for your patience and -- most of all -- for everyone's support.

UPDATE -- April 03, 2010: Well, book writing is nearing an end. Lots of rare pictures and tons of great, new information have combined to make Vilma's biography a huge success. Many of you have given your time, support, and help to make this project a reality. I truly thank you for that.

The book is currently available for pre-orders; however, it will be published and ready to go by July 2010. The current cover art is displayed at left and was designed by not only a dear friend but by a fellow Vilma fan. The book will be approximately 200 pages in length, feature over 50 images of Vilma at various stages, have a complete filmography, and much more.
Pre-orders can be done here. I'd also like to invite you to join dozens of other Vilma fans on Facebook if you haven't done so yet. I regularly post lots of links, news articles, and updates about the book.
